It may not generally be seen as the sexiest game in the world of wagering, but keno has millions of devout followers. As well it should! It’s a consistently entertaining lottery-like game that’s a snap to learn, abundantly available in tons of assorted variations, and one that might pay out millions for those who master its limitless subtle intricacies. But let’s start with the basic rules here.
When describing keno to newcomers, some wagering connoisseurs compare it to bingo. This is at least partially apt, in that each game is basically numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far would be to think too little of the endless unique aspect that make keno so entertaining. Not like bingo, keno gamblers have the ability to choose the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a grand total of eighty numbers, but the gambler is accord an additional level of personal responsibility by being able to determine as numerous (or as few) numbers as he or she needs. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your picked numbers with a ordinaryball point pen like you used when you were in school.
Once you have picked your numbers, take the card back to the keno pit manager at the keno stand. The girl will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Make sure no to misplace this (potentially) expensive bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your loud shirt and wants help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will collect precisely $.00 for your time spent.

After you’ve marked your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and see the action unfold on the monitor. This is where the winning numbers are displayed for us.
